This information is important, because it gives doctors an opportunity to identify occupational asthma in employees. In jobs with high asthma frequency, data might encourage stronger regulations in workplace environments.

Mesothelioma is a lung cancer that is obtained from asbestos exposure. There are several jobs that have a higher risk of obtaining mesothelioma, including construction workers, firefighters, and industrial workers.
